Fall Festival and Book Sale

Join the Friends of the Library for a day of delicious food, book bargains, vendors, 50-50 raffles, pony rides, petting zoo animals, children’s activities and more! ​

How can I show my support for this event and the Friends of the Library?

 

  • Be there! We need attendees to make our Fall Festival and Book Sale a success. Stop by, have a bite to eat, shop at our "Buy-the-Bag" outdoor book sale, visit with our vendors, take a chance on our 50-50 raffles and be part of this all-new community event.

  • Be a Donor or an Event Sponsor. Donations of all levels are gratefully received and can be made via our online donation page or by completing the following form and returning it to the library.

We need everyone's help to achieve our fundraising goals! We are asking our family of Secaucus businesses and organizations to be official Event Sponsors by making a tax-deductible donation (EIN: 22-382 2481; NJ Charities Registration: CH-2595100) by Friday, September 10th.  Monetary donations as well as in-kind donations such as gift certificates, gift cards, gift baskets or items for our raffle tables are all deeply appreciated. All donations will be acknowledged in printed materials at the Fall Festival itself and on our website.   • Be a Volunteer. We will need volunteers on the day of the fall festival and in the weeks leading up to the event. To volunteer, email secaucuslibraryfriends@gmail.com or call the library at 201-330-2083.

  • Be a Vendor. We have space for a limited number of vendors selling food, crafts, specialty products or locally-made items, as well vendors providing information about local organizations and services. To be a vendor, please fill out and submit our vendor application no later than Friday, September 10th. Vendor forms can be downloaded and printed using the first link below, or use the second link to submit your application online (no printer needed!) Vendors who are interesting in selling or providing food should contact us right away, as there is an additional approval process via the Secaucus Health Department.

      To pay for a reserved vendor space, as well as any tent or table reservations, send a check payable to            the "Friends of the Secaucus Public Library" to 1379 Paterson Plank Road, Secaucus, NJ 07094 or pay          using a credit card or PayPal account by clicking on the Vendor Payment button below:

  • Help us get the word out. Tell your family and friends about the event and share our Fall Festival posts on social media (hashtags #SecaucusLibraryFriends and  #FriendsFallFestival )

How can I make a donation to support this event and the Friends of the Library?

 

The Fall Festival and Book Sale promises to be a great opportunity for our community to come together to celebrate the start of autumn. While admission is entirely free for spectators, this event is nevertheless our primary fundraiser for 2021.  Funds raised by the Friends of the Library support such programs as our library’s Museum Pass Lending Program, WiFi Hotspot Lending Initiative, Shakespeare in the Park, Summer Reading for Children and Teens, Independent Film Discussion Series, Lunar New Year Tea Celebration and other multicultural celebrations, as well as annual scholarships for local students. In short, they enable our organization to continue to promote our library as Secaucus’ informational, cultural and educational hub.

We are asking library supporters to become official Event Sponsors by making a tax-deductible donation by Friday, September 10th.  All Event Sponsorships will be acknowledged on our website and at the Fall Festival.
