Introduction to Ukulele

Tuesday, October 20th

Children and adults will learn the basics of the ukulele. In this interactive Zoom Workshop, Rich Casella of Guitar Den, will teach you simple chords, basic strumming patterns and more. With practice you will be playing the guitar in no time!

Group 1 Children (Ages 5-9) Class Starts at 5:30pm

Group 2: Teens and Adults (Ages 10 and Up) Class Starts at 7pm

Space is limited, please register in your appropriate age group using the calendar tab above. You will be sent the link to the Zoom class within 24 hours of the workshop.

Children will learn the basics of the guitar. In this interactive Zoom Workshop, Rich Casella of Guitar Den, simple chords, finger exercises and more. With practice you will be playing the keyboard in time! You must have a keyboard for this class.

Studio Art with Doug DePice

Children and Adults are encouraged to join Doug DePice in this online tutorial. Please register at secaucuslibrary.org to receive the link to this program, reminders, and updates for upcoming programs. CLICK HERE to attend the program. Participants who email a picture of their drawing including name of artist, date, and title of piece to may@secaucus.bccls.org will be included in the library's virtual art gallery.

A Digital History of the Vietnam War at Home & Abroad

If you or someone you know has any photographs of individuals at boot camp, protest photos, draft cards, notices, recognition letters, images in uniforms, etc.. We would like to include them in our digital archive. Images must be received by October 31st. Email Jen May at May@secaucus.bccls.org for more information.

Children's Virtual Story Time and Craft

Listen to Mrs. Ceil read a story and make a craft at home! This program is geared for ages 2-6 but any age is welcome. 

Sign up in advance on the library's calendar of events page. 

A craft supplies bag will be prepared for you to pick up at the library before the program. Mrs. Ceil will give instructions for making craft following the story.

Submit2Fitness Youth Training Systems

Submit2Fitness will be partnering with the Secaucus Public Library to host a series of free Youth Training Classes for ages 6-11. Classes start at 4pm and run approximately 45 minutes.

Registration includes a parental waiver and must be done directly through Submit2Fitness' website: https:// submit2fitness.com/ programs-and-fitness-classe s-in-secaucus-nj/

Once students are registered, they will receive an email giving them the information they need to log in to the class via Zoom.

Classes will also be posted for later viewing on the library's Youtube channel.
